Look who just turned 1 - Birthday Boy Braiden!

It's my very 1st bEARTHday!

Being that Braiden's birthday fell on a weekday-Thursday, we kept it low key for now... party in the planning!

He wore his birthday boy t-shirt and played with balloons all day and got to eat In-N-Out french fries and chocolate dobash cupcakes!

Straw Sippy Cup

We decided to get Braiden a sippy cup with a straw in preparation to wean him off nursing. He seems to drink better using a straw rather than those sippy cups with a spout. Another step in becoming a BIG BOY!

While Big Brother Matthew and Big Sister Hailey were off on their spring break trips, Daddy and Mommy spent an afternoon with Braiden at Disneyland. We spent most of the time in Fantasyland where we rode Peter Pan, Dumbo, Pinocchio, Snow White and Casey Jr. For the first time Braiden could STAND AND WALK while waiting in line to ride. He had tons of fun and of course was pooped out by evening.

Matthew & Hailey were invited to the cockpit of our plane that was to fly us home. They got to meet both our pilots and sit in the drivers seat and wear the captain's hat! They learned about some of the controls, gadgets

and procedures involved with flying.
The one interesting thing that they discovered was that the captains often have a picture of their familes inside of their hats.

Tonight we had an authentic Hawaiian dinner complete with rice, pork lau lau, lomi lomi salmon, poke,

mac salad and of course POG!

Braiden couldn't get enough of it. He ate rice and lau lau and mommy took care of the rest!

Daddy apparently had a food-coma and passed out before 8:00 and didn't wake up till the next morning!
